Your typical run-of-the-mill background check might be good enough for a standard employee hire, but if you are hiring someone to be the face of an organization, you might need a bit more digging. Hiring an executive who has a history of allegations, posting offensive comments on social media, litigiousness or even lying on their resume, might not just be bad public relations, it could end up costing you dearly. 

Our background process utilizes open sources and public records to identify information to help you make a more informed decision. Our research will mine social media, the deep web, criminal records, civil litigation, bankruptcy, judgments, liens, news media and other records to identify potential risk-relevant or adverse information, as well as general background information. 

Some of the things that our background investigations are designed to identify:

  • Misrepresentations of employment history, military history or degree information
  • Financial troubles including tax liens, bankruptcies and foreclosures
  • Undisclosed corporate affiliations, government scrutiny or a history of failed business ventures
  • Prior accusations of harassment or fraud
  • Past criminal history including felony charges, misdemeanors, warrants and DUI/DWI charges
  • History of litigiousness, regulatory issues, contract disputes and divorce filings
  • Patterns of inappropriate comments, behavior or links to fringe groups on social media

At the conclusion of our investigation, we will provide you with a multi-page report, which will provide a summary of our findings, including links to relevant results and source documents, where available.
